Use a Sun Protection Cream

It seems pretty standard - use a good sun protection cream and you’re sorted. However, there are some things to remember to maximise the effectiveness. It’s always best to choose a sun cream that has a minimum Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 and contains at least one of the following ingredients (to protect against the wrinkle-causing UVA rays) – Eamsule, Avobenzone, Oxybenzone, Titanium Dioxide, Sulisobenzone or Zinc Oxide. Be sure to choose a brand that is water and sweat resistant.

Sun Protection Clothing

Protect Your Skin with Clothing items such as t-shirts, sunglasses (UV rays can also damage your eyes), sun hats, caps and wetsuits can all help minimize sun exposure. Your head and shoulders always get the worst of the sun and protective clothing can help protect these sensitive areas from future sun spots, wrinkles and the dangers of skin cancer.

Another great way to protect your skin is by making use of shade, whether it’s under a lush green tree or setting up a handy umbrella.
